BECERA Conference: Research Proposals Wanted

Becera image

Good afternoon everyone, I have just received an email from Selma at the British Early Childhood Education Research Association (BECERA) asking if I would mind talking a bit about their upcoming conference, so I thought I would take a minute to tell you about their work. BECERA is an independent organisation in which like-minded Early Years professionals and researchers can come together to discuss their work. The aim is to create a space where knowledge and new ideas can be shared and discussed, as well as peer-reviewed.

Every year a conference is held so Early Years practitioners and researches can come together and talk about their findings, this year the conference is being held in the Midlands Art Centre in Birmingham on 20th and 21st February.

“The annual 2 day conference provides an open and inclusive space for the British early childhood community to exchange their knowledge and engage in rich dialogue and debate about their work. Listen to Internationally renowned keynote speakers, network with other UK Practitioners and discuss all the important Early Years issues” – BECERA.

Keynote speakers include Dr Elly Singer, Professor Christine Pascal and Professor Tony Bertram, who will all be speaking over the 2 day conference.

If you are a research practitioner or a post-graduate student with a thesis on early years or an organisation who is actively conducting research, and are interested in putting forward some of your own work to be peer-reviewed, then please visit the BECERA website. Papers submitted will be divided into symposia and allocated a time slot and a Chair, and all work will be made available online.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow Early Year professionals and discuss your work, as well as hearing some amazing speakers. Thank you to Selma at BECERA for letting us know about this event, I’m sure it will be a great success.
