Crafty Boats Activity

About This Primary Resource

A simple activity for making a boat from plastic bottles and a polystyrene food tray (as well as a few other readily available materials). This activity is ideal for using as part of your pirates theme and would make an ideal addition to the water area in your classroom or early years setting.

Really nice activity, although we needed slightly more ballast to balance out our boats. The lego men weren’t enjoying their dunk in the water…

  2. Janet

Great, we added a sail to ours as well.

  3. Hannah

    Lovely idea.

As an NQT this site has been a lifesaver. The resources have saved me loads of time and the forest school activities have been particularly useful. Thanks!

The bright colours and clear images are brilliant for my SEN pupils. For a lot of the children routines are really important, so the visual timetable in particular has been a big hit.
