Elmer

Elmer the Elephant by David McKee has been a children’s classic for years, as have his other Elmer stories, and tells the story of a patchwork elephant that goes on many adventures. The early years (EYFS) and key stage 1 (KS1) resources here aim to support your teaching of this wonderful story and include craft activities, games, posters, banners and lots more.

Please note, all of the resources in this section have been designed using original ELHQ artwork. They are 100% unofficial and have not been endorsed by the author or publisher in any way. Elmer the Elephant is a wonderful book which we highly recommend.

The bright colours and clear images are brilliant for my SEN pupils. For a lot of the children routines are really important, so the visual timetable in particular has been a big hit.

As an NQT this site has been a lifesaver. The resources have saved me loads of time and the forest school activities have been particularly useful. Thanks!
