Water & Sensory Play Planner

Sensory and Water Play Planner

About This Primary Resource

A table containing a list of ideas of things to include in the sensory and water trays. The table includes columns for Monday to Friday so that you can ensure that you do not repeat the same activity on the same day each week. It is important that there are different things in the water and sensory trays on different days so as to avoid a scenario where children who only visit your setting a couple of days a week do not continually have the same activities. In order to avoid this use one of these sheets every month or half term period and note down the date when the activity was performed in the correct day of the week column. For instance if you used shaving foam in the sensory tray on Monday the 16th of January, write the date next to ‘Shaving foam’ in the Monday column. If you would like to use shaving foam again in the next 4 – 6 weeks make sure it is used on a different day of the week.

The bright colours and clear images are brilliant for my SEN pupils. For a lot of the children routines are really important, so the visual timetable in particular has been a big hit.
