About This Primary Resource
This is a Christmas themed Key Stage 1 planning document that centres around the story of The Little Red Elf. It contains many days worth of lessons designed to help children develop literacy skills. Objectives include:
- Using clues and discussing what, where, when etc.
- Using information provided to make a sensible prediction
- Applying phonic skills to reading.
- Editing and adapting writing to show improvements.
It was developed by Kerry Moody, an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher and it supports the Talk4Writing teaching framework.
