A set of 8 A4 posters which break down the fundamental rules of music notation into easily digestible chunks. The posters include information about how sheet music looks on the page, with a brief explanation of the clefs and the time signatures, and a very simplified version of how the notes and bars work together.
We have tried to make these posters as memorable as possible by splitting the bars into ‘houses’ and then asking how many beats live in each ‘room’. These posters are ideal for using at home or in your classroom and will help act as a reminder to any children learning an instrument.

Early Learning HQ is home to thousands of primary school / early years teaching resources, some of which are completely free to download. The site was created a few years back with the aim of becoming a high quality sparklebox alternative - helping teachers and parents to create exciting and inspiring learning environments for young children. We feel like we've gone a long way towards achieving this goal but we are always looking to improve, so if there's something you feel we can help you with or if you'd like to offer some feedback then please get in touch.
