Pirate Maths Game: ‘All About 10’
About This Primary Resource
A maths pirate game designed to help children build an awareness of the different ways that the number 10 can be formulated.
Players must take turns to spin the spinner with the aim of collecting 10 pirate cards from the colour category on their board. To complete the game they must spin a combination of numbers that totals exactly ten. So for example, if the spinner lands on 4 and then on their next turn it lands on 5, the player would need it to eventually land on 1. If it landed on any other number they would have to try again on their next turn.
We also have versions of this game where the objective is to collect a total of either 6 or 8 pirate cards.
