Musical Notation

About This Primary Resource

Following on from our Basics of Music set of posters, we have gone on to create a set of sheets showing the order of notes on a staff and a series of mnemonics to help remember them. They are designed to help pupils associate the notes position on the staff with its position on the keyboard – this is the key to learning to read music. These posters are ideal for using at home or in your classroom and should help any children learning an instrument to read sheet music more easily.

The bright colours and clear images are brilliant for my SEN pupils. For a lot of the children routines are really important, so the visual timetable in particular has been a big hit.
