Journeys & Transport STP Week 2 – What kinds of transport might we find on the road?

About This Primary Resource

A very thorough short term plan on the popular early years topic of ‘Journeys and Transport’. It features activity ideas and continuous provision suggestions on the theme of journeys and transport for a whole week. It focuses on the question "What kinds of transport might we find on the road?”

It is the second of six short term weekly plans (STPs) on this topic. It was created by Kerry Moody, an experienced EYFS teacher and manager in a school graded as outstanding by OFSTED. She has also created some fantastic Medium Term Plans on the same theme. In addition we have many relevant printable resources in the vehicles section of our website.

All of the story resources have been put to good use in our library corner, especially during World Book Day. Keep up the good work!

The bright colours and clear images are brilliant for my SEN pupils. For a lot of the children routines are really important, so the visual timetable in particular has been a big hit.
