Animal Colour Matching Game

Animal Colour Matching Game

About This Primary Resource

A fun animal themed game ideal to help children build their colour recognition and matching skills. The gameplay is quite short and the rules are simple – ideal for young learners.

In order to play you must first assemble the colour ‘spinner’ provided in the pdf download. Each player must spin the spinner and collect an animal card that matches the colour the spinner stops on. If it stops on a multicoloured segment then the player can choose any animal card. The winner is the player who collects all of the colours on their board. The game features 11 different colours and depicts a variety of different animals. It can be played with up to 6 players at a time.

The bright colours and clear images are brilliant for my SEN pupils. For a lot of the children routines are really important, so the visual timetable in particular has been a big hit.
