Letters & Sounds Phase 2

A collection of resources to help with the teaching of phase 2 of the DFES Letters and Sounds phonics teaching programme.  Includes a variety of phoneme related teaching cards and games. Please visit our phonics lesson plan section if you are looking for help planning lessons related to the letters and sounds programme.

The primary focus of phase two is to: “teach at least 19 letters, and move children on from oral blending and segmentation to blending and segmenting with letters” (DFES Letters and Sounds Document).
