About This Primary Resource
A detailed English planning document around the theme of minibeasts / enchanted woodland. It was created by Kerry Moody, an experienced Key Stage 1 teacher and is designed for Year 1 children. Some of the objectives within the plan include:
- To ask questions and record them using a question mark.
- To begin to identify features of a non-fiction book.
- To begin to recognise and use alphabetical order.
- To use a non-fiction text to find information. To pick out relevant information.
- To sort sentences from non-fiction and fiction texts.
- To write a sentence which is suitable for a non-fiction text.
- To know the features of a non-fiction book.
