ELHQ Animations & Interactive games

Following on from my last post about animation in the classroom I thought I’d mention that I intend to create a few more animations for children’s songs in the months ahead and if there are songs you’d like to feature then please let me know. Also if you’ve written a children’s song and you’d like us to illustrate it and feature it in the songs and stories section of our site then please let us know.

I’s also like to say that I’ve been working on an interactive pirate themed numeracy game which I will try to finish off soon and upload to the site. I started work on it in my spare time last December but by January I was so swamped with work that I had to put it on hold. I created it using Flash catalyst, a programme I have no experience of using and the trouble is because I’ve left it so long I can’t now remember how it all works! So even though it’s almost finished it might still take me a while to finish it off.

While I’m on the subject of interactive games I’d like to give a mention to one of our sponsors – www.busythings.co.uk. They have a huge amount of quality educational interactive games which are ideal to use at home or in schools and early years settings. I am very envious of their skills! If you haven’t had a look at their website I’d urge you to do so. There are a few games on there which you can try out for free.
