Dinosaur Maths Game- 'All about 6'

About This Primary Resource

A dinosaur themed maths game designed to help children appreciate the different ways that the number 6 can be formulated. Players must collect 6 dinosaur cards from the category on their board (either orange, grey, red, blue or green dinosaurs) by taking turns to spin the spinner. To complete their board they must spin a combination of numbers that totals exactly 6. So, if for example the spinner lands on 3 and then 2 the player would need it to eventually land on 1 in order to complete the board. If it landed on any other number they would have to try again on their next turn.

We also have versions of this game that focus on numbers 8 and 10.

The bright colours and clear images are brilliant for my SEN pupils. For a lot of the children routines are really important, so the visual timetable in particular has been a big hit.
