About This Primary Resource

A set of 24 cards featuring tricky and decodable words from Phase 3 of the Letters and Sounds Programme, ideal for using in your classroom or early years setting to help children master the more difficult high frequency words.

Tricky words contain letters that do not follow the standard phonic rules in terms of the sounds that they represent (for example ‘the’, ‘go’ ‘to’).
