Phonics Coin Treasure Hunt – Letters & Sounds Phase 2
About This Primary Resource
This is a fun pirate themed treasure hunt that ties in with Phase 2 of the Letters & Sounds programme. It could also be played if you are not following Letters & Sounds.
The aim of the game is for the children to search for the word coins that are hidden around your environment - this could be your classroom, home, garden etc. Once they have found a card they must try and read it and decide if it is a real word (treasure) or a nonsense word (rubbish). If it's treasure then it goes in their treasure chest (included in the download) but if it's rubbish then it goes in the bin. The winner is the player who has the most coins at the end of the game.
