Promoting Positive Behaviour in the Classroom

One of our future guest bloggers Nicola Morgan has written a book about promoting positive behaviour in the classroom. I thought I’d give it a quick mention as it looks really interesting and could be a valuable tool for headteachers, senior leaders, and all other classroom practitioners. It was written with Gillian Ellis and is bursting with tried and tested strategies and techniques to make the classroom a happier place for everyone. “The ‘Kit Bag'” is a bank of up-to-date ideas that can be dipped into whenever needed, each one contributing to a learning culture where children can be engaged, excited, and challenged by the learning process. Ideas identify problems practically and show how to proactively change even the most challenging classroom with successful strategies that can revolutionise current school practices. This widely acclaimed approach will be a must for any teacher who has ever been confronted with challenging behaviour.

For those of you based in south Wales please note that Nicola will be conducting a book signing and behaviour management clinic in Waterstones (the Hayes) in Cardiff tomorrow afternoon (12-2) where she will demonstrate some of her strategies and ideas to help you positively manage behaviour in the classroom and at home.
