Original Handa’s Hen song, ideal for singing at home or school with your child to help recall of the story and to practice numeracy skills such as counting backwards. The tune - The twelve days of Christmas lends itself to repeating the numbers previously mentioned before adding 'Where, oh where is Mondi? eg, '4 little lizards, 3 stripey mice, 2 fluttery butterflies, but where, oh where is Mondi?'

This resource is unofficial and has been designed using original ELHQ artwork. Handa’s Hen is a wonderful early years story written by Eileen Brown. If you do not yet have a copy we strongly recommend that you order one! The download is a zipped file which includes a PDF with illustrations for each verse and another PDF with the whole song set out on one page.
